Seneca is an awesome mare. She has so much potential. This is the mare dreams are made of. Even as a tobiano breeder, this overo mare has her place in the herd. She's homozygous agouti, so when bred to a homozygous black she will always have bays (she will never produce black foals). She's a fiery mare with a lot of life and heart. Seneca is a fighter and can hold up to the toughest trails and hardest days of riding.

Seneca was added to the herd January 7, 2006. She came relatively untouched since she had 30 days of training as a 2 year old. We spent a few days putting a bit of ground work into her in the winter, and on June 3rd we began to ride her. We rode her for 3 days. She had no more than 4 hours of training total. A girl came to look at her on day 4 and we all did things with that mare that we had never done before. She's a very smooth ride and incredibly smart. We did sell Seneca that day, but we regretted it so we managed to get her back on September 9th. She needs a smart, experienced rider as she is only green broke - but this girls potential is endless. There is no buck in her. She has about 20 rides and lots of trail miles. The sky is the limit with her. I have never in my life seen a Paint or Quarter Horse with the stride this mare has. She has a very large overstep and a lot of rear end drive. Seneca had a big, beautiful bay tobiano foal on April 18th @ 347 days. "Peekaboo" is an absolute doll, a keeper for sure. We really like this mare a lot and had hoped to keep her this time, but we are going to focus on the horses we raised so Seneca is for sale along with a few others.
