Seneca was added to the herd January 7, 2006. She came relatively untouched since she had 30 days of training as a 2 year old. We spent a few days putting a bit of ground work into her in the winter, and on June 3rd we began to ride her. We rode her for 3 days. She had no more than 4 hours of training total. A girl came to look at her on day 4 and we all did things with that mare that we had never done before. She's a very smooth ride and incredibly smart. We did sell Seneca that day, but we regretted it so we managed to get her back on September 9th. She needs a smart, experienced rider as she is only green broke - but this girls potential is endless. There is no buck in her. She has about 20 rides and lots of trail miles. The sky is the limit with her. I have never in my life seen a Paint or Quarter Horse with the stride this mare has. She has a very large overstep and a lot of rear end drive. Seneca had a big, beautiful bay tobiano foal on April 18th @ 347 days. "Peekaboo" is an absolute doll, a keeper for sure. We really like this mare a lot and had hoped to keep her this time, but we are going to focus on the horses we raised so Seneca is for sale along with a few others. |
